PangosAll-Midwest Frosh/Soph Recap
Leo Svete, SG/SF – One thing we learned about Svete, a 6-foot-4 guard out of Granger (Ind.) Penn, is he’s a hard playing kid. He gave maximum effort during the games, looks to defend and made plays. He has a high release on his jump shot and is a pretty good shooter off the catch. A solid athlete, Svete, who has a sister playing at Florida, has a nice overall skill set and is a guy that brings energy to the table.

ESPN Super Soph Standouts
Leo Svete, Penn (6-3, 165, MBA Select)
While Leo wasn’t the fastest or most athletic point guard in camp, he certainly made up for it with his ability to run a team. He plays with poise, is a solid ball handler, and has terrific court vision. He understood when to push tempo and when to slow down and feed the post, didn’t turn it over, and got the ball to his teammates in a position to succeed. No one I saw had a better feel for the game than Leo.

Get To Know....
A 6'4 Shooting Guard from Mishawaka, IN.
Leo Svete
"The reason for interviewing Leo Svete was due to seeing him play at the Chicago Hoops.com End of Season Showdown event in Merrillville this past weekend. I was there to watch the Eric Gordon All-Stars 15U team at the time, but this young man caught my eye real quick. His MBA Select team was down most of the game but Leo was knocking down almost every shot he took. So after seeing Leo play, I had to find out who he was and let you, the fan, get to know him more. "

Players to Watch Out For:
Leo Svete: (2013) A underrated player due to no one really seeing this young man in action yet but he showed up to play today and get noticed. Had a great day with him and his teammates on the same page in each game. Leo has nice length to him and is able to knock down the jumper with a nice consistanty. Able to control the boards with tip putbacks and can run the floor well on fast breaks. Nice all around player that will only get better with time.
